Who else gets bit every single time they step outside the door from April-October? The mosquitoes here by the Texas coast are relentless! If you're like me, you're gonna to want to be prepared for your outdoor activities on the 4th and armed with the best non-toxic bug off! I have always cringed while applying those stinky, chemical filled sprays and knew I was probably putting some pretty terrible things on my skin and in my lungs. After researching OTC bug sprays, I confirmed that stuff is bad news!!! I would rush to the shower after any outdoor event and scrub that nasty junk off. No more! Now I'm happily spraying on my little DIY Bug OFF with great smelling, body supporting essential oils.
Can you believe there is a spray to keep those critters away that is actually REALLY good for you and your skin?
Let's break down these benefits:
Purification - soothes skin when applied topically
Lemongrass - an aroma that can inspire a sense of clarity and relaxation
Citronella - refreshes and moisturizes skin
Peppermint - invigorates the mind and senses, while inspiring a sense of peace, has a cooling effect
Shockingly, I've never been a big DIY girl, but after much research and learning about the incredible benefits of pure essential oils, I'm kind of hooked. Not to mention, it's super easy. Next on my list is hair gel for my hubs. Stay tuned. If you aren't really a DIY fan and you want a safe insect repellent, Young Living has you covered! Check it out here.
